Join and/or donate to Team KAR Pink!

New day, new time, same place! The 2010 Southwest Michigan Race for the Cure will be held Sunday, May 16 at 2:00 pm at the Arcadia Festival Site in downtown Kalamazoo. Each year, the Kalamazoo Area Runners organizes a fundraising team to participate in the event and raise support for the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

At least 75% of net funds raised by the affiliate through events such as Race for the Cure stay local and are used to fund breast cancer community grants in areas such as education, screening and treatment in the eight counties of Southwest Michigan (Allegan, Berrien, Branch, Calhoun, Cass, Kalamazoo, St. Joseph, and Van Buren). The other 25% of net funds goes directly to fund national breast cancer research studies and fellowship grants.

We encourage you to join Team Kalamazoo Area Runners and support this important cause by running, walking or donating with or on behalf of us. Our goal is to raise a minimum $1000 and recruit a minimum of 20 team members. Team Kalamazoo Area Runners t-shirts will be provided to the first 20 team members donating or collecting $25 in online donations.

You can join the team and/or donate via the Team KAR Pink Webpage. The 2010 KAR discount code may be used during registration. Please notify Team Captain Lori Cupp at jc_cupp@hotmail.com upon joining the team so she can create an email distribution and please provide her with your t-shirt size (sizes available first come, first serve, and are contingent upon the $25 donation minimum).
