July KAR Executive Board Minutes (07/11/06)

KALAMAZOO KLASSIC CONTRACT/INVOLVEMENT (ALL)

• Adjustments were made in the language of (5) and add a number 6. Number 6 is concerned with having co-directors from both KAR and MRC. Charlie is very much in favor of this set up.
• #3 needs to broadened to account for membership dues if the population fluctuates. This is Ralph's concern.
• Dave will rewrite.

• Heidi is not present.

• Todd will still do the run. It occurs July 29th.
• Dave will help Todd.
• Cindi has water and Gatorade.
• Raffle prizes? Sara will help with the prizes.

1. Phil Goodwin will take over the technology and website. Phil thinks it would take about a month to redesign the site. And he is OK with taking on the task.
   
2. Photo album organization. Something would have to be added to the server to make the job easier.
   
3. Keep rotating quotes
   
4. Redesigning the site may inactivate the administrator's ability to update. Phil would teach someone how to make adjustments.
   
5. Newsletters can be preserved as an archive.
   
6. Web news archives can join the newsletters. Phil will make backups.
   
7. KK link is redundant with another site on the page.
   
8. Phil recommends the reduction of links on the site.
   
9. Include club championship and discount program.
   
10. Phil would rather enter races as opposed to anyone inputting a race. Phil said he can do a form that can be sent in and then placed in the site within a day or so.
    
11. Coaches Corner and links can come off of a resource site.
    
12. Forum – the recommendation is to delete the forum and replace with a FAQ section.
    
13. Bonnie will work on training schedules.
    
14. Results links will be made more efficient.
    
15. Guest book – no guest book.

• Sherrie is gathering birthdates to help determine age group awards.
• Some family memberships do not list all members of the family.
• Ralph will help with family names.

• Giti handed out a proposal for hosting the party with dessert.
• The proposal sounds real good. Thank you Giti.
• Go with 4 gallons of punch.
• Date will be November 9th. Secondary date is the 2nd of November. 7-9:30pm

• We are not taking on more unless more people get involved and take such events.

• Bonnie and Dave will be leaving the board at term's end. Bonnie will still be involved in events.
• Dave can't leave until he settles with VanBuren County.
