KAR/BCRR 2005 ANNUAL MEETING AND BANQUET

Mr. Jenness – Kellogg CEO
· How long can I go without giving in. How long can I keep it going.
· Generally runs one or two marathons per year.
· Likes Chicago and London Marathons. NY Marathon is crazy.
· Outstanding time participating in a relay from Mt. Hood to the Pacific Ocean.
· Took questions concerning his history running, how to stay injury free, and motivation.

President’s State of the Organization Address – Dave Walch
· Goal is to increase participation. Also trying to get more kids involved. Start a participation with the YMCA to help kids.
· Provide marathon training
· Club championship series

Financial Statement overview – Ralph Meyer
· 2004 year end financial $4600 in revenue and about $4900 in expenditures.
· $1700 bought award items like socks, gloves…
· Pays for WMU track workout through the winter.
· Pays for the banquet.

Battle Creek Road Runners overview – Pat
· BCRR is designed to be for all runners regardless of abilities.
· Arbor Dash, and the Human Race.
· Weekly runs at Custer State Park and Tue/Thursday gatherings for running group support.

Membership Overview and Member Recognition – Bonnie
· We have the largest membership in the club since the club began.
· Recognitions –

· Terry Hutchins – former president, race director of Kal-
· Kim Robinson – Boston to Bayshore marathon group
· Wayne Young – BC community running advocate.
· Gale Fisher – BC contributor

· Chris Crowell – Gazelle owner and supporter of Borgess, Girls on the Run, 1-1 run.
· Bruce Johnson – Gazelle manager.

Introduction of and vote on the changes to the By-laws – Dave
· Merger vote of the BCRR – passed.
· Two people will be on the board at all times from BC

Officers Nomination and Election Announce appointment of VP Member Support
· Recognition of Jay Campbell – website work, Kalamazoo Klassic work, originated the championship series.
