KAR Executive Board Meeting

10/11/04

Stephanie Millis – Gazelle podiatrist.

  • Speaks to gait analysis, foot type, pronation (over and under).
  • Gait analysis can be done in GR for a fee ($20). It takes about an hour.
  • When the Kalamazoo Gazelle’s reopens its main store in Feb. they too will be able to do the analysis on a treadmill.
  • Take in a pair or two of old shoes so the wear can be analyzed.
  • Get your feet measured each time you buy shoes. The feet do change over time.

Halloween Hash Run

  • Charlie is going to pick up the raffle stuff.
  • Bonnie is taking care of the kids run.

Thanksgiving Turkey Trot

  • Still a go even though Mike Hofinger is out of town.
  • Scott, Jim Henderson, and Jay.

Club Championship Series

  • Nov 15 at 7pm here at Borgess HC

BCRR/KAR Proposal

  • Still in negotiations.
  • Several events are run jointly.

Brochures for Next Year

  • Charlie says we should start asking for dates soon for calendar development.
  • The Easter Hash and Cinco De Mayo run dates must be determined.

Weekly Run Down

  • It is going to be done every two weeks as the list is getting longer all the time.

Winter Marathon Training

  • Bonnie is working to coordinate with another group or two.
  • No coordination with Gazelle as of now.
  • Lisa Barkovich is going to help begin something.

Indoor Track Workouts

  • The contact with WMU will be taken care of by Rollin.
  • We need someone to staff the site.
